Tackling Youth Homelessness in Worcestershire

At Blackpole Recycling, we are proud to support Wyre Forest Nightstop, a local charity doing vital work to tackle youth homelessness across Worcestershire.

Their mission is to prevent homelessness by empowering young people to reach their full potential. In addition to this, their vision is a future where no young person in Worcestershire is without a safe place to call home.

Wyre Forest Nightstop provides emergency accommodation to young people aged 11–25, placing them in the homes of fully trained and approved volunteer hosts. This service offers a safe and supportive alternative to rough sleeping or unsafe housing.

But their support goes beyond emergency accommodation. They also:

Work with young people and their families through mediation to help resolve conflict and prevent family breakdown
Deliver education programmes in secondary schools to raise awareness of youth homelessness
Offer life skills courses to help young people gain confidence and live independently

How we support

How do Blackpole Recycling Support Wyre Forest Nightstop?

At Blackpole Recycling, we’re proud to play a part in supporting the important initiative of Wyre Forest Nightstop through ongoing funding and community involvement.

We contribute £15 per day towards the cost of rehoming older children and young adults up to the age of 23. This funding helps ensure that vulnerable young people have access to safe, emergency accommodation when they need it most, offering them stability, dignity, and hope during a difficult time.

In addition to our financial support, we’re also getting involved in upcoming fundraising events, including their Golf Day fundraiser, which we’re excited to take part in and promote. Events like these not only raise essential funds but also bring the community together in support of a shared goal , ending youth homelessness in Worcestershire.
